Rehema Baya is an emerging fine art photographer based in Nairobi. In 2013, she began her practice under the tutelage of Adam Balcerek, a Polish photographer with HAART’s Photography for Nairobi Program. She has continued to work alongside other alumni of the program to create awareness of human trafficking by making images that are relevant to African audiences. Her other work consists fashion photography and art projects that use different subjects in terms of age and gender to relay the mood.
Rehema’s photography is inspired by the lifestyles and cultures of the East African coastline, human interaction, and poetry.
