James Njoroge is a Kenyan artist based in Nairobi. He enjoys experimenting with different mediums and styles with a particular fascination of incorporating collected items in his work. He juxtaposes these elements, giving them new meaning to reference his reflective thoughts. Njoroge studied at Kenyatta University, graduating in 2012. Since then he has had a successful solo exhibition at the Nation Museums of Kenya in 2013 and various joint exhibitions including the Circle Agency ‘Paper’ show. He has also been awarded by two art competitions: Experiencing Kenyan Heritage through Art competition by the National Museums of Kenya and Sanaabora Art competition by Kenya Bankers Association. His current work is a reflection on happenings, people and places around him.
